Just by exploring therapy, you’ve already taken a courageous step forward. Dealing with adversity is daunting, and life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming. As you search for a therapist to help you overcome these obstacles, my hope is that you’ll find the right therapist. There are many therapeutic approaches that you may choose to explore but ultimately, a strong relationship between patient and therapist is fundamental for successful treatment, regardless of approach.
I believe as people learn about themselves that their sense of self-worth increases, and that contentment is found. The relationships you have in life ranging from loved ones to colleagues are going to come and go but the relationship you have with yourself is lifelong.
As your therapist, I will always seek to understand you before looking to have my counsel understood. In providing counsel, I will also challenge you. There will be really hard, deep, introspective work done to gain insight and understanding. Many discoveries will not be comfortable.
Through the work we do together, my hope is that you’ll acquire life-changing tools for finding joy and for maintaining relationships.
Together we can and will do whatever work is necessary as long as the overall objective is always your health and happiness.
